Everything is Energy…
Chakra is the Sanskrit word meaning “wheel” or “turning”. Chakras are energy vortices that can be found supporting the human physical vessel. It has been my personal understanding from working with these vortices, and the teachings from spirit, that these energy centers support physical life from the non-physical or spiritual realms into the physical. These vortices when off balance, or not metabolizing fully, can create distortions in our reality. When a Chakra has been “out of balance” for some time it can and does lead to physical disease. All disease begins as an energetic imbalance which stem from something within your internal landscape needing attention. When we begin to work and honor these naturally organic systems within the body we truly begin to master our health as well as evolve into high consciousness.

Chakra 1 and 7 are the two chakras with only one aspect. Chakras 2-6 have two aspects to them. A front and back. The second Chakra reflects and metabolizes the life energies of pleasure, creativity and sexuality and abundance. When we experience “imbalances” in these realms, it is our Soul’s wisdom calling forth a time of growth. Instead of seeing these as imbalances see these as opportunities for transformation, for every physical plane imbalance, there is an aspect of our Soul ready to bring forth the wisdom, love and transformation. It is the exercising of our free will that calls this into being. It’s all yours for the asking!

Creativity and the Second Chakra
The Second Chakra metabolizes the energies of Creativity. It is often what we call lower or physical creativity. It is also the point when we begin to individuate from the tribal/ societal energies in the First Chakra and begin to experience duality, hence the sexual energies and the male/female polarities that we express in the human experience. Creativity when honored can break us out of routines that have kept us ‘locked” into certain ways of being and prevented us from moving forward in new and dynamic ways.
Here are some questions to probe the energies of creativity in the second chakra
Do I feel creative in my day to day life?
Are there aspects of my experience that feel stagnate and dull?
Do I consider myself a creative person in general?
Well- Being and the Second Chakra
Know that you are enough! In our fast paced world we often feel overwhelmed by all the “to-do’s” in our daily grind. If we don’t take time to slow down and smell the roses we are missing one of the “key” elements to living life. A life in balance is a life well-lived.
Reflect on these questions:
Do you take a break from the whirlwind of your daily life?
What do you do to release stress from your life?
Do you know how to say NO to those people and situations which are toxic in your life?

Spiritual Evolution and the Second Chakra
Kundalini sometimes referred to as the Coiled Serpent located at the base of the spine is powerful energy of transformation. The purpose of Kundalini is to “cleanse” the bodies — physical, spiritual, emotional and ethereal so that one can hold a higher vibrational energy and begin to live their higher purpose. The kundalini energy can and often is triggered by the 2nd chakra and our creative/sexual energy. The energies of Creation, Sexuality and Kundalini are often co-mingled at the 2nd Chakra.

Abundance and the Second Chakra
